The Golden State Warriors are on schedule to move away from Oakland and into San Francisco for the 2018-19 season. Currently, the Warriors have the oldest arena in the NBA and the new proposals will feature state-of-the-art features and amenities. The Oracle Arena which was also known as the Oakland Arena, The Arena in Oakland, Coliseum Arena, and Oakland-Alameda County was constructed and opened in 1966.

The proposal is currently set for the 12 acre area at San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. The new arena will sit next to the bay and will overlook the water. After moving from Philadelphia, the Warriors became the San Francisco Warriors. The games were played at the Cow Palace in Daly City, Oakland, and San Jose. The Warriors have not any announcements or indications that the team will be renamed but the last time they were called the San Francisco Warriors was following the 1970-71 NBA season.
