NBA: Golden State Warriors at Orlando Magic

Steph Curry is arguably a household name in the United States. Last year, he was selected on the NBA All-Second Team and this year he is making a case for the NBA MVP. The Warriors are 14-2, which is good enough to be the second best record in the NBA.

With Curry’s emergence as an elite NBA player, he is becoming more recognizable. Curry’s popularity is now reaching international levels. Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group tweeted about Curry being the poster boy in Japan and we have it for you here:

I am not familiar with Japanese and I don’t trust Google Translate, but landing on the cover is a big deal. The Japanese magazine is called “Dunk Shoot” and this is the January issue that was released on November 25. The issue will focus on checking up on all 30 teams after one month in and trying to figure out which teams will make some noise moving forward.

In Asia, the NBA fandom is completely insane and engaged. Curry and the Warriors are doing really well, so the magazine should be high on the Dubs’ chances this season. With the Warriors success led by Curry, he can join the major superstars such as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant and start garnering those major endorsement deals.
