Drymond After Bump

By now you’ve heard about the escalating saga between Draymond Green and Dahntay Jones. It all started with Jones bumping Green after the game yesterday. Doc Rivers quickly defended Jones, but Green was sure it was done on purpose.

After getting fined $10,000 by the league, Jones was asked about the whole ordeal. According to Arash Markazi of ESPN, Jones called out Green for liking to draw attention on himself:

Green called out Jones after the game and now he has returned the favor. Jones wasn’t shy when he spoke to the press before the Clippers hosted the Timberwolves. Jones didn’t think the bump was a big deal and blames Green for blowing it out of proportion.

Jones didn’t stop there, like his head coach, he sarcastically apologized for hurting his feelings. This is only getting better and better. It will be interesting to see if Steve Kerr has any input in the whole situation. Green will be excited about their final meeting against the Clippers, this time it will be in hostile territory.

The Warriors and Clippers would make for a fantastic playoff match-up. Let’s hope the Warriors are able to get revenge.

Here’s the video of Jones’ comments:

Draymond can take care of himself and he seems to be the type of player who plays better when “motivated”. Love the back and forth exchanges between these teams, makes for a great series if they meet this year.

This is the most run Jones will ever have in his NBA career, and he knows that. He’s milking it. Once this is done, he will likely not be talked about ever again. Green will get a max contract in the off season. Who is it that needs to “draw attention” Certainly not Green.
