NBA: Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors were beginning to hear the doubters and they came out on prime-time and beat the Clippers convincingly, 106-98. Don’t let the final score fool you, the game was out of reach for most of the second half.

Draymond Green was easily the player of the game and was being interviewed by ESPN’s Lisa Salters after another win against the Clippers. It seemed pretty standard, until Dahntay Jones bumps into him during the interview. Here’s the video from Bleacher Report:

This was a moment for Green to enjoy after finishing with 23 points and 6 assists, but it was interrupted by Jones. Green had to pause, but didn’t overreact and it was very noticeable that he was surprised by it.

Green spoke to the media after he got a chance to change out of his uniform and admitted that he was surprised by Jones’ actions. Here’s the video from KNBR:

Green fired back, he clearly called out Jones on purposely running into him in order to get a reaction out of him. Green wasn’t shy to remind everyone that Jones doesn’t see the floor much with the Clippers, so it’s not worth getting suspended over a player that is not a factor on that team. Green said that if Jones were to get suspended, “They may not even notice.”

It’s no secret the Warriors and Clippers don’t like each other, but this will only make things more interesting the next time they face each other. It will happen again at the end of this month, this time in LA. The Clippers should have Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford back by then, so March 31st is a date to circle in your calendar.
