After missing the Golden State Warriors’ thrilling overtime victory against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday evening, point guard Stephen Curry and sixth man Andre Iguodala have been listed as ‘questionable’ for tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The news was broken on Twitter shortly ago by Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle:

In all actuality, this seems to be a precautionary measure being taken by the team in order to ensure that both players are at least healthy enough to give it a go if they’re actually needed. With them wanting to best the single-season wins record set by the Chicago Bulls in 1995-96, it does seem plausible to assume that both players will attempt to play tonight.

Hamstring injuries are generally tougher to outline a return than ankle injuries, so we could see Curry give it a go tonight and Iguodala still resting in order to heal up even more. We’ll just have to see how it all plays out over the next little while before the game actually tips off at Oracle Arena tonight.

The Warriors demoralized the Thunder about a week ago in Oklahoma City when Stephen Curry hit a game-winning three from near half-court in overtime, so you know that the Thunder want revenge for that. If Curry and Iguodala sit out this game, then the Warriors’ home winning streak would also be in jeopardy.

More news will be passed along as it becomes available.

I’m with xdrta. Don’t sacrifice the long-term goal of a championship for the short-term goal of a record.

I hope Curry doesn’t come back too soon just to try and keep the streak going. Let’s not lose sight of the big picture. And hamstrings are no joke, Iguodala should sit out for sure.
