The Golden State Warriors will attempt to extract some vengeance tonight at Staples Center (Tip off: 6:30 pm PDT) when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers in a rematch of a March 27th contest that went down to the wire. In that game, the Purple and Gold relied on Pau Gasol in the fourth quarter to carry the load offensively and then turned to Kobe Bryant late down the stretch who made two tough shots to lead his team to victory.

So what should we expect in the rematch?

Over at Forum Blue and Gold, the ESPN TrueHoop Affiliate blog of the Los Angeles Lakers, Darius Soriano, David Murphy and I went 3-on-3 to preview tonight’s contest. Here’s an excerpt:

“In the last contest, Mark Jackson made the move of the game by inserting a big lineup without a traditional point guard that gave the Lakers real issues down the stretch. Will Jackson go to this lineup again? If he does, how will Brown counter? With these teams playing for the 2nd time in less than a week will the game plans be adjusted with any tweaks? The talent on the floor isn’t going to change but how the head coaches use that talent certainly can.”

The game promises to have some intrigue given the adjustments that both teams will make for tonight’s contest and the post certainly captures that. You can find the post over here.

Enjoy.
