What does the reigning Most Valuable Player in the league do when he’s not on the court eviscerating all those who oppose him and the Golden State Warriors? Well, for one, he helps create a social media startup company that helps athletes.

According to an article, point guard Stephen Curry has helped launch a social media endeavor called ‘Slyce.’ It helps athletes post across multiple social media outlets at the same time all with the tap of a screen or the touch of a button. It’s that simple.

Marisa Kendall of Silicon Beat had more on this story:

The platform, called Slyce, saves athletes time by filtering through fan posts, according to a report by GeekWire. The platform also allows athletes to post their own content to multiple social media platforms at once.

This is pretty cool. Curry’s own social media interaction started to decline over the last little while because of the time it took out his day to, as it is put, “maintain his online presence.” Rather than waste time posting across several platforms individually, Curry, who is a co-founder, helped create something that does it all at once.

So far, the startup employs five people in the Bay Area, and it already features athletes such as Atlanta Hawks guard Kent Bazemore and Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett. This is a really cool venture.

No athlete wants to spend a lot of their day toiling around on social media trying to post things individually, so Slyce sounds like an interesting thing for them to start to use since it serves as a multi-purpose tool for all types of athletes. This could be a huge deal in the sports world and, with Curry at the forefront, it seems like it already is on that path.
