Curry golfing

Steph Curry is arguably one of the better players in the NBA. One could make a case that he’s the best point guard in the NBA and his head coach believes it. Curry is the prime of his career and his future looks promising.

If Curry ever decides to pick up another profession after his basketball career is over, golf might be the logical choice. New York Knicks shooting guard J.R. Smith believes Curry is the golfer in the NBA and it’s not even close. However, Curry still needs work on his game, especially with golf being such a difficult sport.

Curry spent some time with Tiger Woods’ former coach, Hank Haney to figure out what he can improve in his golf game. Here’s what Curry learned (via: Diamond Leung):

Haney’s segment is centered around fixing a problem within five minutes. For Curry, it was his timing. His arms and hips were not lining up, which caused him to have some bad shots off the tee. Haney was able to correct his problem and you could tell Curry quickly improved the flight path of his ball.

Curry has a 5 handicap, which is pretty good compared to the average golfer. He’s definitely a serious player out there in the green and has been playing since high school. Quite a few people play golf to pass the time, but you can tell Curry is a competitor and has truly worked on his craft.
