NBA: Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks

The Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks faced off in a potential Western Conference playoff matchup. Both teams are known for their high octane offense were but in today’s matchup; both are below full strength as the Dubs played without Andrew Bogut and David Lee and the Mavs were missing Chandler Parsons. Golden State also looked to stretch their winning streak to 15 games! In case you missed this unique early start game, we have you covered.

1st Quarter

The Warriors came out in their Slate alternative sleeved jerseys and it didn’t look like it affected their shot. They came out hot and grabbed an early lead. Without Parsons, the Mavericks offense suffered against the stifling defense of the Warriors. Behind Steph Curry and Klay, the Dubs were able to stretch the early lead into double digits. Shaun Livingston’s outlet pass led to a beautiful Curry reverse lay up against a Mavs defender. In a total team effort, the Warriors put up 39 points behind Curry’s 13 and Klay’s 10 first quarter points. Warriors led by 21, 39-18.

2nd Quarter

The Mavs were finally able to score to in the second quarter, but the Warriors continued to put the ball in the hole. Nowitzki was able to hit two quick shots, but the Warriors always had a response. Mo Speights wanted to join the party and quickly put his name on the stat sheet. He helped the Warriors grab their biggest lead of the game at 25. This offense looked unstoppable and the Mavs could not catch-up. Defensively, the Warriors were impressive as well, it was a complete annihilation at this point.
