This was a fun match-up to watch. In case you missed the game, here’s our instant recap:

1st Quarter

The Hornets come out strong in the first quarter, but the Warriors also looked sharp. A few turnovers to start the game, but overall the offense looked good. Curry was himself, knocking down shots and distributing the basketball. Klay Thompson had trouble putting the ball in the hole, he couldn’t buy a bucket. The Warriors went on a cold streak, they couldn’t even hit simple shots. They shot 36 percent in the first six minutes of the quarter. The Warriors improved as the quarter went on, but the Pelicans were able to keep their lead at 2. Anthony Davis is a special player and he’s put on display in the first, he had 11 point. Turnovers have been high this game, they needed to fix that moving forward. Warriors were down 28-22 after one and Curry led with 7 points.

2nd Quarter

The Warriors’ second unit were hot at the start. They used Livingston’s basket as momentum and they scored nine straight points. They were able to take a two point lead and did so with Davis on the bench. Really encouraging sign for the Warriors, their second unit not only got them back into the game, but took the lead. The starters came back into the game and they were able to hit buckets as well. The grew the lead to 6. The Warriors kept their foot on the gas and increased their lead to 13 points. While Anthony Davis is having a monster game, the Warriors lead 53-40.
