Preview: After limping into the All-Star break on a five-game losing streak, the Golden State Warriors will try to switch over their fortunes and get back to their winning ways tonight in Salt Lake City.

The task will be incredibly difficult though.

The Jazz have won 20-of-26 home games this season, which suggests they are quite hard to beat at Energy Solutions Arena.

Tyrone Corbin’s guys will be entering tonight’s contest after having won back-to-back contests against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves last week, but they will obviously be looking to use those victories as a springboard to extract some vengeance against the Golden State Warriors.

On December 26th, the Warriors were victorious in Utah thanks to a solid night of long-range shooting, as Mark Jackson’s bunch converted 9-of-18 shots from 3-point range.

If the Dubs can reproduce that type of output from downtown, it may give them a chance to pull this one out again.

It’s worth noting that in the first encounter, the Warriors’ frontline held Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap to 32 points and 17 rebounds on 12-for-25 field goal shooting.

If the Jazz frontcourt can get quality touches around the basket, it will undoubtedly open up the floor for the remainder of the team to do some damage both from mid-range and long-range.

Consequently, David Lee and Andrew Bogut’s activity on the interior will be important for a Warriors team that has struggled defensively as of late. Making a concerted effort on this front might be what the Dubs need to get back to their winning ways.
