Scope the Opposition: A Wolf Among Wolves.

Preview: Last season, the Golden State Warriors took two out of three contests from the Minnesota Timberwolves as Charles Jenkins showed up big in both victories, averaging 21.5 points per game. Things are a bit different this season as Jenkins has essentially been glued to the bench given the presence of Stephen Curry and Jarrett Jack.

In addition, the Dubs added new faces while the Minnesota Timberwolves did the same thing, except they’ve lost several of their key players to injuries.

Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic, Brandon Roy and Chase Budinger are all currently sidelined and it’s becoming tougher and tougher for Rick Adelman to throw out healthy bodies on the hardwood floor to compete against opponents.

Not so coincidentally, the injuries resulted in the Wolves signing Josh Howard to their roster.

Minnesota improbably rallied on Wednesday night against Charlotte, only to fall on Kemba Walker’s buzzer-beating jump shot and will try to bounce back at home when they host the Golden State Warriors tonight.

The Dubs are coming off a home win against the Atlanta Hawks and will try to win back-to-back games to once again have a winning record.

It’s worth noting that last season, David Lee — who has struggled this season — was downright unstoppable against the Timberwolves, putting up 28 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game and 3 assists per game on 51.2 percent (22-for-43 shooting) field goal shooting.
