The Golden State Warriors announced today that first round draft pick, Ekpe Udoh will not participate in Summer League in Las Vegas after sustaining an injury to his left wrist.  Udoh was injured on July 4th at the team’s practice facility while he was working out alongside Stephen Curry and other teammates.  Udoh’s injury is likely to set him back for a while and it isn’t known whether or not surgery will be required.

The Warriors drafted Udoh with the 6th pick in the draft hoping he’d be able to contribute from day one and make an impact on the team.  Udoh is the latest Warriors player to be sidelined and it seems the Warriors injury woes from past season have carried over into this season.

The Warriors begin Summer League play Friday night at 7pm vs the New Orleans Hornets.  Full Summer League schedule can be found here.
