Russell Westbrook seems to have a large chip on his shoulder approaching this next season. Kevin Durant unexpectedly left Oklahoma City, and Westbrook doesn’t seem happy about it at all.

Not only did he emphasize loyalty in explaining why he chose to sign an extension with the Thunder not long after Durant signed with the Warriors, but he also said that Durant wasn’t entirely open with him throughout the process of choosing to leave the Thunder.

Westbrook has a new Air Jordan commercial that seems to subtly take a shot at Durant for leaving the Thunder.

The commercial features Westbrook jumping from the free throw line and soaring in the air as if lifting off from a runway.

The voiceover says “some run, some make runaways.” People are speculating that this is directed at Durant for choosing to leave the Thunder.

During his free agency tour, multiple teams deployed their best players to the meetings to try to lure Durant to their team.

The Celtics had their meeting minus Avery Bradley, which seemed strange considering that Bradley and Durant are such great friends.

Bradley cleared the air about his absence, saying that he didn’t feel it was necessary to go to the meeting because he’s already in constant contact with Durant.
