Ads are going to be placed on the front left corner of NBA jerseys beginning in the 2017-2018 season, and it is up to the different franchises to negotiate partnerships with companies who want their logo on a team jersey during games.

The Golden State Warriors are said to be asking for somewhere between $15-20 million per season for the spot, which is more than any other franchise is asking for.

Only the Philadelphia 76ers have reached an agreement for their patch, partnering with StubHub for $5 million per season for 3 seasons.

Based on the national exposure that the Warriors are expected to get over the next few years, estimates are indicating that the figures the Warriors are asking for seem fair.

The Warriors also officially signed rookie center Damian Jones to a contract today. Jones is currently recovering from a torn pectoral muscle, but is expected to be ready for the start of next season.

Andre Iguodala also had some interesting comments he shared on Power 105.1 Radio in New York, saying that he believed that the Oklahoma City Thunder were the best team in the playoffs and deserved to win the championship.

Fans of the Thunder are still recovering from Durant’s departure, and Iguodala’s comments certainly sting, because their championship window has probably closed for the time being without Durant.

The Warriors may have significantly altered their 73 win roster to acquire Durant, but it was a shrewd move by a front office that is committed to moving this team forward.
