Reports have surfaced today about another team in the NBA already making plans to aggressively pursue Stephen Curry when he becomes a free agent next season.

They’re basing their pitch around allowing him to be “the man” on their team, and that a season of Kevin Durant taking opportunities away from Curry will cause enough chemistry issues that Curry won’t want to return to the Warriors.

This sounds extremely unlikely, considering how selfless both Durant and Curry appear. They previously played on Team USA together at the 2010 FIBA World Championship, and there’s no way that Durant would have made the decision to join the Warriors if he had even the slightest hesitation of the experiment not being able to work.

The Warriors had been linked to David Lee in rumors earlier this offseason, but the former Warriors All Star announced that he has signed with the San Antonio Spurs.

Lee ended the Warriors’ All Star drought in 2013 that had started way back in 1997, and it marked a powerful moment in the Warriors’ returning to league relevance after so many seasons of lackluster basketball.

Lee was a solid contributor off the bench during the Warriors’ championship season, and we wish him luck as a member of the San Antonio Spurs.
