NBA: Playoffs-Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans

By sweeping the New Orleans Pelicans, the Golden State Warriors earned plenty of time to rest. Now, they just have to wait for the Memphis Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers to battle it out for a chance to meet the Warriors in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

The Grizzlies have a commanding 3-1 lead in the series and Game 5 will take place on Wednesday in Memphis. Many expect the Grizzlies to win the series at home, but you never what could happen. According to Marcus Thompson of the Bay Area News Group, if the series does not go seven games, the Warriors will play Game 1 on Sunday on ABC:

The Grizzlies just need one more game and unless the Blazers are prepared to make some NBA history, the Warriors will be on your TV on Sunday at 12:30. So make sure you clear your schedule on Sunday, because the Warriors will be on prime time.

If the Grizzlies do take care of business, this semi-final matchup will be a good one. The Grizzlies are without Mike Conley and it remains unclear whether he will be available to play moving forward. Regardless, the Warriors know it’s not going to be easy regardless of the opponent.

It’s been a long week without Warrior basketball, but the wait is almost over.
