At the moment, the Oracle Arena hosts the world champions, Golden State Warriors. With plans to move into San Francisco, the new arena is set to be ready for the 2019-20 season. Today, the name of the arena has been confirmed.

According to J.K. Dineen of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors new home arena will be called the Chase Center:

More than three years before their new arena is set to open in Mission Bay, the Golden State Warriors have reached a naming rights deal with financial powerhouse JPMorgan Chase.

The 18,000-seat arena, set to open in time for the 2019-20 basketball season, will be called the Chase Center. Financial terms were not released, but naming rights experts said the deal probably exceeds the high-water mark for basketball arenas, the $200 million that Barclays paid to put its name on the home of New York’s Brooklyn Nets.

The move will help finance the project and expect the Warriors to create more partnerships as the building develops. In October, the Warriors completed the purchase of the 12-acre land in Mission Bay. The Warriors are the NBA’s best team and continues to steamroll the competition. Not only are they popular at home, teams who have trouble selling tickets see a spike when the Dubs roll into town.
