The Golden State Warriors have the Cleveland Cavaliers on the ropes. With a 3-2 series lead, the Warriors could claim the NBA title by beating the Cavs in Cleveland. A tall task, but not an impossible one.

The Warriors don’t want to come back to play a decisive Game 7 at Oracle Arena. Steve Kerr has five championship rings, so he knows a thing or two about close out games. According to GSW Fast Break, Kerr understands close out games are difficult, but he feels can play much better despite two consecutive wins:

Kerr won three straight titles with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls and not once did they need a Game 7 to win the title. Kerr won another two titles with the Spurs and they never experienced a Game 7 either. Kerr knows the importance of eliminating a team when you first get the opportunity to do so.

Even though the Warriors won the last two games, Kerr knows his guys can play better and they are going to have to in order to beat LeBron in Cleveland. You can expect James to put up monster numbers in Game 6 and their role players will play better as well, so the Warriors must come out and grind out a win.

The impossible is close to being a reality, but don’t celebrate early, there is still a lot of basketball to be played.
