Curry pointing

The Golden State Warriors open the the new year by hosting the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night. The Warriors will look to improve on a great start to the season. With Steph Curry and Klay Thompson leading the way, the Warriors should compete for the top seed in the Western Conference.

The Warriors bursted onto the scene this season and they are not looking back. Steph Curry is an MVP candidate and the Warriors have the best record in the league. Curry’s popularity has been on the rise for some time now and NBA fans around the globe are recognizing his amazing skills.

The second wave of fan votes for the All-Star Game have been unveiled and Curry continues to be in second place in overall votes. Once again, Curry only trails LeBron James by a slight margin. Here’s a part of the official release form the NBA:

LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors remain atop the Eastern and Western Conferences, respectively, after the second returns of NBA All-Star Balloting 2015 presented by Sprint. James continues to own the top overall spot with 775,810 votes, while Curry’s 755,486 votes are good for second in the league.

It’s no surprise LeBron has the most votes, he’s the current face of the NBA and the best player in the world. However, for Curry only to trail by about 20,000 votes is impressive and just comes to show how far he has come since leaving Davidson.

Fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson is also hoping to play in the All-Star Game, but he’s currently in seventh place in the Western Conference for guards. It’s not looking good, but he can still be selected as a reserve.
