The NBA season is about to commence and the Warriors look hungrier than ever. On the other side, the Cleveland Cavaliers don’t want the party to end and will look to repeat. Will these two contenders face off again? While most fans believe it, so do the NBA GMs.

According to John Schuhmann of NBA.com, in the annual GM survey, 69% of the votes went to Golden State to claim the 2017 NBA championship.

In fact, almost every general manager in the league thinks that the Cavs and Warriors will play for the championship again. And after correctly predicting that the Cavs would win their first championship last season, most of the GMs believe that the Warriors will win the rubber match.

Predicting LeBron James will come out of the East is like predicting the Patriots will win the AFC East. I don’t see any team in the East competing with the Cavs this season. The Raptors and Celtics will be good teams, but expect James and company fighting for back-to-back titles.

The Warriors will have a tougher road to the Finals, but it’s hard to pick against a team who won 73 games and was one win away from another title. Now, this team has changed a bit, but it will be interesting to see if this team lives up to expectations.

In another no brainer question, the GMs believe the Kevin Durant acquisition will be the most impactful transaction of the off-season. No other team added such a significant player to their roster. They replaced Harrison Barnes with Kevin Durant, pretty easy choice for the GM’s.

Steph Curry was picked as the best point guard in the NBA and Klay Thompson was the second best shooting guard. There’s plenty of questions that were answered by the GM’s that involve the Warriors and it makes sense, they are the overwhelming favorites to win the NBA title and everybody knows it.
