It’s always fun to get a visit from one of the premier players in sports, and that’s exactly what the Golden State Warriors had on Tuesday afternoon when Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim stopped by practice to have a little fun. The Angels are in town to play the Oakland Athletics, and their game tonight isn’t until the evening.

The fun times started when Mike Trout beat Draymond Green in a game of HORSE, and then he ultimately challenged the greatest shooter in the world, Stephen Curry, to a battle. The fun thing to remember is that Green famously was tied by Kevin Hart in a three-point contest at the All-Star Game, so Green is 0-for-2 on shootouts this season.

From Michael Lee, senior writer for The Vertical on Yahoo! Sports:

Perhaps the funniest story, though, was that Angels reliever Joe Smith actually beat Stephen Curry in a game of PIG today, which means Joe Smith is now the greatest shooter in the history of the world and we all need to just accept that as a factual thing now. It’s fun when athletes from different sports can hang out.

The Warriors will look for an NBA record-setting 73rd win on Wednesday night at Oracle Arena when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will be in Oakland through Wednesday before having an off day on Thursday. For one moment, the Angels shot better than the Warriors did.
