Klay Thompson

It’s an exciting time for sports fans. After the NBA’s conclusion, baseball was pretty much the only sport on. With NCAA Football kicking off, the start of the NFL is right around the corner. Washington State University invited their former student, Klay Thompson back to campus; Klay brought the hardware too. The championship trophy made its way to the Cougars’ home opener against Portland State.

On Friday afternoon, Thompson met and spoke with the 2015-16 men’s basketball team at the Beasley Coliseum. Now a world champion, the respect and admiration has risen to another level.

The entire Warriors organization has taken turns to bring the prized possession to their hometowns and spectacular places. In three seasons in WSU, Thompson averaged 17.9 points per game. His best season came in 2011, he led the Pac-10 division with 21.6 points.
