When Kevin Durant went down, rivals and NBA fans saw the Warriors struggle. As of today, the Warriors have been looking a lot better winning their last 8 games. Without the former MVP, the Warriors are currently 10-5. The Dubs have clamped down and found their groove but may need to adjust once again as Durant’s return is looming.

The Warriors were glad the injury to Durant wasn’t as serious as it originally looked. The initial prognosis stated that there still could be a chance for Durant to return in the regular season, but it all depends on how is progressing on a daily basis.

Today, we finally got an update on Durant’s injury status. The Warriors PR official Twitter handle tweeted out the update on Durant and it looks like everything is going smoothly:

As many of you have seen, Durant has been putting up shots and getting performing light workouts. According to the Warriors, Durant is on track to possibly come back before the start of the season. While you don’t want to rush Durant back, it would be nice for him to get a couple of games under his belt before the start of the postseason.

For now, Warriors fans should be very excited about the progress Durant has made. He has not had any setbacks, which means you should expect to see him on the floor soon. The Warriors will re-evaluate Durant in 7-10 days, so hopefully is able to get cleared by then.

Luckily, the Warriors looks like they have hit their stride. The addition on Durant, should only make them better.
