After the Warriors embarrassed the Lakers on their own home court, one thing was certain, the Warriors are a force to be reckoned with. They are no longer that playoff team who was destined for a first round exit. No, the Warriors are looking like a legitimate contender.

ICYMI – Warriors/Lakers Articles:

The Warriors have won the last two games with a complete game effort, but Steph Curry is the unquestioned leader of this team.  He is capable of carrying this team on his back, even though he might not have to. Curry is a special player and one of the best in the league. According to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, Steve Kerr believes Curry is the best point guard in the NBA and he wasn’t shy about it:

It’s hard to argue with Kerr, especially when the numbers back up his statement. Curry is fourth in the league in scoring with 24.8 points per game. He is fifth in the NBA in assists with 7.7 per game and Curry is also third in steals with 2.3. He is extremely well rounded and he is only getting better.

The Warriors are off to an 8-2 start and after battling with turnovers to start the season, they have improved in that area in the last couple of games. Curry is not only making a case for best PG in the NBA, but he might find himself in the MVP conversation at the end of the year.
