Game 4 saw the Warriors look like the team that won 67 games and made their way through the Western Conference playoffs. The Warriors came in with a different attitude, they finally played the game with their usual confidence and ended up winning the game by 21.

Draymond Green came back in Game 4 and played a fantastic game. Not only were his shots going in, but his attitude was different. Green was still brining the energy on the floor, but he stopped talking to the refs and it was noticeable.

After the game he was asked about change of attitude towards the officials and Green admitted that his mom and grandmother told him he was crying too much to the refs during the game. (via: For The Win):

My mom and my grandma told me I’m crying too much. Leave the officials alone and just play. They got you out there looking like you’re a punk and don’t know how to play basketball. When you sit back and watch, that’s what I was doing. And the fact that you asked me that question even further lets me know that that’s what I was doing.

Mother always knows best and this case is not any different. Mary Babers-Green, who is well known for being active on Twitter, was the key to her son’s attitude adjustment. It could not have come at a better time for Green and the Warriors, who now get to go home to prepare for Game 5.

Green plays with tremendous heart and energy, but when calls didn’t go his way, Green would immediately take it out on the officials. It could have affected the way the refs the called the game moving forward, knowing Green would always complain.

Now, that is no longer the issue and Green is more focused on rebounding and making the right play. The rest will take care of itself.
