Marshawn Lynch is an Oakland native and was on Draymond Green’s bus during the parade. Lynch is known for avoiding the media, but today he was a Warriors fan and was interviewed with Mary-Babers Green, Draymond’s mom.

Mary talked about Draymond and the struggles that he faced coming from Saginaw, Michigan. She explained the advice that she gave to her son as he struggled with doubters and critics. Lynch was moved by her words because it reminded him of his own mother. It was a touching moment, check it out below:

Lynch is one of the most feared and bruising running backs in the NFL. His interactions with the media became national headlines, but that was not the case when he was talking to Mary-Babers Green and Rosalyn Gold-Onwude of CSN Bay Area.

Lynch needed a hug from Mary after hearing her speak and it was truly a touching moment.
