The Warriors have the best record in the NBA, but this year they’re not worried about 73 wins. With the addition of Kevin Durant, their chances of bringing the Larry O’Brien back to the Bay Area have improved dramatically.

If Durant decides to stay in the Bay for the long term, the Warriors are primed to be contenders for at least the next five to six years. Barring injuries, the Warriors have an opportunity to build a dynasty.

However, that is only possible if there isn’t an NBA lockout. The NBA and the Players Association need agree on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement otherwise we will lose basketball for an extended period of time.

Don’t worry basketball fans, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the NBA and the NBPA have agreed to a new seven year deal:

Basketball fans around the world can rejoice, there will be no NBA lockout, which means we will not miss a single game. However, not everyone was happy about the deal being made. Draymond Green quickly turned to Twitter to voice his disapproval of this new CBA. Here’s the following tweets by Green:

As expected, Draymond didn’t hold back. The All-Star forward was openly upset about the new CBA and while the details have not been officially released, obviously Green felt the players could have gotten more. One of the main things that was not agreed upon was the one and done rule, it looks like both sides have tabled the issue for later.

Green is known as the vocal leader of the Warriors and one of the most outspoken players in the NBA, so it’s no surprise he was the first to share his disappointment with this new deal. When the details are released, then we will know what aspects Green was referencing.

This CBA will expire in seven years, Green should still be around during that time. Maybe Green will take a leadership role with the NBPA and get the players a better deal in 2023.
