NBA: Washington Wizards at Golden State Warriors

With the Golden State Warriors’ dominance, they’ve put themselves in a great situation to allow players to rest their injuries, recover properly and prepare for the postseason. Draymond Green’s shin injury forced him to miss the last three games in which the team was still able to pull out victories. Although, the Warriors have continued to win, they will need him ready for the championship run. Green is easily seen as the life, soul, and energy of the Warriors.

Green was questionable for the last game against the Phoenix Suns but ultimately did not play. According to ESPN’s Ethan Strauss, the good news is that Draymond is set to return against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday:

In his third season, Green is currently averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 assists, and 8.1 rebounds per game. The stats may not be shocking but Green supplies the team with the stats that don’t show up on paper.

The Warriors only have seven games remaining with the next three games on the road and the final four at the Oracle. With a 10.5 game lead over the 2nd place Houston Rockets, the Warriors have already clinched the best record in the West.

Another win can allow the Warriors to clinch home-court advantage for the entire postseason for one of the loudest fan bases in all of sports. The regular season will conclude on April 15 against the Denver Nuggets.
