NBA: Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans

The Warriors have a couple of days off before they host the Sacramento Kings at Oracle Arena on Monday night and they definitely deserve it. The Warriors have won 22 out of 25 games, and they still don’t have their starting power forward from last season.

Draymond Green has played great in David Lee’s place and is due for a new contract at the end of the season. Former Warriors coach Don Nelson spoke with 95.7 The Game and had some nice things to say about Green.

A three time recipient of the NBA coach of the year award, Nelson has coached hundreds of players and he’s really impressed with Green’s game. Surely, Nelson would have loved to have a player like Green in the past, his motor never stops.

Green was a steal in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft. He is a big part of the 22-3 start, he’s currently averaging 13.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Nelson is just one of many people in the NBA that love his game, including some teams that will be willing to pay him big money in the off-season.
