Despite both Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala playing in Thursday night’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, it’s sounding more and more like only one of those two will be suiting up for the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to the latest report that came out, it looks like Curry will be good to go against Los Angeles’ other team while Iguodala is going to take the game off. In all actuality, it’s not a major thing since the team could beat the Lakers with or without him.

From Rusty Simmons at the San Francisco Chronicle:

The Warriors will have point guard Stephen Curry for Sunday’s game against the Lakers, but sixth man Andre Iguodala’s availability is doubtful, according to head coach Steve Kerr.

Head coach Steve Kerr went on to say that the team is going to be “careful” with Iguodala’s hamstring injury since those can tend to linger and get worse if you’re not careful with them. It also makes sense to rest him since the team plays on Monday on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Warriors will attempt to break the Chicago Bulls’ record for most consecutive regular season home wins on Monday night against the Orlando Magic, so having Iguodala for that would be ideal. Either way, the gameplan is to get both Curry and Iguodala healthy no matter the results of the games. Both are major pieces.

Curry at least looks like his ankle issue isn’t really hampering him. Iguodala’s hamstring, though, is another thing. Even on Thursday night, you could see him grabbing the back of his left leg quite a bit in an effort to get the hamstring loosened up. Taking a game or two off could really help him.
