NBA: Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets

Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Day and the NBA does an excellent job of paying tribute to Dr. King and all that he was able to accomplish. He was a civil rights leader and a Nobel Peace Prize recipient in 1964. His impact on this country was monumental and it will never be forgotten.

Under Armour has several players on their roster and they will pay tribute to Black History Month. UA will release a new sneaker that pays homage to the innovation and technology contributions of the African American community.

The colorway is called “Innovate” and it will feature a reflective upper that will make it seem like it has a darker shade depending on the lighting. There is a light bulb icon on the tongue, which symbolizes the “Innovation” that Under Armour is honoring with this shoe. The tongue, laces and Under Armour logo are black, but mostly everything else seems to be the reflective material.

Steph Curry will wear the “Innovate” colorway today when the Warriors host the Denver Nuggets. Since he has his own signature shoe, the Curry One will adapt the BHM “Innovate” colorway.

Curry BHMOther UA athletes like Kemba Walker, Brandon Jennings and Greivis Vasquez will also be wearing the special BHM colorway, but it will be on the standard UA ClutchFit Drive.

The “Innovate” ClutchFit Drive releases on Saturday, January 24th on UA.com and the retail price is listed at $125.
