Basketball is finally back and the Golden State Warriors opened up their pre-season schedule with a win against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center. The Clippers came out firing on all cylinders, especially Blake Griffin, who finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 26 minutes. However, the Warriors’ offense was potent as well. The Warriors were led by Klay Thompson with 20 points and David Lee chipped in with 13 of his own. Although it was a pre-season game, it sure didn’t feel like it. The Staples Center crowd was energetic and it felt more like a continuation of Game 7 of last year’s first round series.
