This season has been special for Warriors fans, it almost feels like destiny. This franchise has suffered for a long time and finally it seemed like it had built a team that could win an NBA title.

All of that came crashing down when Steph Curry had that nasty fall in the second quarter. Surely, I can speak for all of Dub Nation and say that was the scariest moment of the season. As Curry laid there on the floor you can only hope that he was okay. It was more than just about basketball, you were truly concerned for his well being.

Fortunately, Curry was able to return to the game in the third quarter. He was shaken up, and it took him a while to get back into a rhythm, but he eventually started looking like himself again. After the game he spoke at his news conference and all of the focus was on the fall.

According to GSW Fast Break, Curry was very grateful that the fall didn’t cause any major injuries because it could have been a lot worse:

ESPN replayed Curry’s fall hundreds of times and it made you cringe every single time. It was not a dirty play by any means, it was just an unfortunate incident that scared the living daylights out of everyone in the Bay Area.

Luckily, Curry was able to slowly walk on his own afterwards and eventually came back into the game. Although I wouldn’t recommend watching the fall again, you can clearly see that Curry could have come away with multiple injuries, but was very fortunate it was only a head contusion.

The Warriors lost the game, but with a 3-0 lead it almost didn’t matter. Everyone was worried about Curry, but it looks like we will see him back to normal in Game 5 at Oracle Arena.
