For those who may not be familiar with yourself, give us a little background info on you and how you became to be a Warriors girl for the past two seasons?

I auditioned for the WG’s for the first time straight out of high school at 17 years old; It was my very first audition for anything! It was very, very tough. My second time around I had more experience under my belt however you can never take that for granted.. the competition is always fierce and you ALWAYS have to earn back your spot!

What is it like to perform at Oracle arena in front of the best fans in the NBA?

We truly do have the most amazing fans in the NBA and they deserve the best in-game experience. It is such an honor to perform at Oracle for them every game. The fans are what push us to work as hard as we possibly can so we can deliver the best performances and experience for them each and every game.

Give us a rundown on how the audition process to be a Warriors girl works?

The audition process for the 2010-2011 WG dance team is never easy.  It involves two full days of technique, learning a routine, an interview and then performing for the judges countless times. This year especially, the girls have been phenomenal so far. I have met some truly amazing girls who are beautiful on the outside and more importantly on the inside. I cannot wait until boot-camp Tuesday and Thursday night. More challenges await us, however with this set of girls I know only greatness will come of it!

You mentioned having to go through boot-camp, run us through what that fully entails and how you fared during the 2 day boot camp?

The 2-day bootcamp we must complete in the final days of auditions is extremely challenging! It consists of one full hour of a military style workout both days, followed by 2 full hours of dancing and performing for the judges afterwards! So basically after you get your butt kicked for an hour in workout, you must give you 100% effort dancing for the judges trying to make the best last impression you can!

What’s going through your mind on the day they’re set to announce who’s on the team, are you a nervous wreck all day? What’s the build up like?

On the day they announce the team I am always a TOTAL nervous wreck… many people say “Oh, you are a vet you are fine!”. I always tell them that they dont understand, this is a business; there will always be somebody prettier or more talented hungry and ready to take your spot!

Initial reaction when you found out you made the team again? First person you told?

Funny story actually… the first person I told was my client! I am a fitness trainer and I just happened to be scheduled with a client at the exact time they were announcing the team! It was terrible.. I was on my phone waiting for someone to text me and once they did I was running around the gym jumping for joy like a crazy girl.

Aside from being a Warriors girl, i hear your entering the world of music, speak on that a little bit, when did you first start taking music as a serious avenue?

I have always loved to sing since I was a little girl. I used to put on shows for everyone I knew! However I only started seriously pursuing music about a few months ago when I met a great producer who has been helping me emerge. I am slowly learning its an extremely tough industry!

What’s your musical sound, what can we expect from your music? Where can people hear your material?

My sound is a mix between Pop and R&B. I will be doing a lot of upbeat songs and have begun working with some amazing artists. I am finishing up my first single “Bedtime Stories” featuring Erk Tha Jerk! For right now you can preview my single on YouTube. Casey Grimes will be blasting from your radio hopefully very soon 🙂
