At 26-5, the Warriors have the best record in the NBA and they just beat the best team in the Eastern Conference. Even without Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli, the Warriors managed to pull away in the second half and win big against the Toronto Raptors.

The Warriors have amazing depth, which comes in handy when dealing with injuries. Steve Kerr has a potent arsenal at his disposal, which includes guard Justin Holiday. The Summer League standout has gotten the opportunity to be on the floor recently and according to Carl Steward of the San Jose Mercury News, this is a dream come true for Washington Husky:

“It’s a blessing just to sit on the bench and watch this team play,” Holiday said. “So being able to actually play and contribute is finishing my dream.”

Holiday has shown he can play in this league and to have him at the end of the bench is a luxury for Kerr. He scored nine points against the Raptors and he had 11 the previous game against the Sixers. If this team wasn’t so loaded, he would probably be getting more minutes. Nevertheless, Holiday knows he is in a great situation and is very appreciative of the opportunity.

Holiday left a lasting impression at the Las Vegas Summer League, which earned him a roster spot this season. He’s been through the NBA Developmental League and has also played in Europe, but had trouble staying on an NBA roster coming out of Washington. Finally, the Warriors gave him a shot and he’s taking full advantage of it .

If he continues improving, his role should continue to expand and he could play a big part in chasing an NBA title.
