3rd Quarter

The Warriors began the third with their regular starting five and missed two consecutive shots. Off a Rockets miss, Thompson drove to the rack for a lay in. Klay has looked aggressive coming out of the gates to try and find his groove. Steph scored points number 12,13,and 14 off a pump-fake which led to an open three ball to shrink the lead down to 58-54. After Draymond’s fourth foul, Kerr went small and brought Andre in for Green. Thompson found Iggy on a backdoor dive for an alley-oop slam. The Warriors finally woke up and took the lead on a Curry three. Steph stole the ball from and finished the play with a transition three.The Warriors have found a rhythm and took over the game. Iggy got another dunk; this time it was a reverse. The game play got physical as both teams were struggling for baskets. With a little under three and a half in the quarter, the Warriors led 70-63. Speights playing hard got another tip in off a miss. On the ensuing possession, the Rockets tried to score before the quarter ended but Speights took a charge. At the end of three, the Warriors led 76-69. Curry had nine in the quarter bringing his total to 20.

4th Quarter

The reserves come out to start the fourth. On the floor was Livingston, Barbosa, Iggy, Green, and Ezeli. Kerr made an unusual substitution by bringing Curry back for Iggy. There was three guards on the floor in Barbosa, Steph, and Livingston. The Rockets did not give up and reduced the lead to one. The Dubs continue to fail to take the opportunity to extend the lead. Five minutes in, they’ve committed five turnovers in the quarter and 24 for the game. Another Steph steal led to his pullup bank shot to regain an 84-82 lead. Bogut’s play has been phenomenal blocking shots and rebounding. In the fourth he had four blocks and 16 rebounds. Something unusual happened as Klay missed two consecutive free throws. He took a hard foul which resulted in a timeout to give him time to recover. Thompson continued to struggle throughout the quarter. Out of a timeout, Steph Curry splashed a three to extend the lead to 91-82. The Warriors win and the Curry finishes with 34 points and 10 rebounds.
