With the series shifting back to the Oracle, the Golden State Warriors are happy to have a loud and disruptive atmosphere back. After winning a pivotal game 4, Steph Curry will look to lead the Warriors back in front. Keep your eye on David Lee as he earned more trust and minutes with his last outing. Tony Allen was questionable and missed tonight’s game which may alter the game plan.

1st Quarter

The Grizzlies were the first to draw blood and Klay Thompson wanted to respond, but his first two shots didn’t fall. The Warriors were sloppy early and turned the ball over twice. Zach Randolph took advantage and scored the first six points. After yet another missed jumper from the Warriors, Randolph surprisingly hit a triple, which gave the Grizzlies an 11-4 lead. The Warriors could not buy a basket and it didn’t help that they kept giving the ball away. The Grizzlies on the other could not miss, everything was going in. Randolph had nine points and Memphis was shooting 63 percent. The Memphis offense was clicking and Playoff Barnes was the only positive thing about the Warriors. Lackluster start for the Dubs, which was disappointing considering the magnitude of this game. The Grizzlies were up 10, but the Warriors turned on the switch. The Warriors went on a 11-0 run to end the quarter and they led 26-25 going into the second.

2nd Quarter

Klay hit a bucket to start the quarter after missing his first four shots. They traded baskets for the first three to four minutes of the second quarter and the Warriors kept a two point lead. Barnes continued his stellar play and a corner triple gave the Warriors a 41-35 lead. Mike Conley came out of the timeout and scored quickly, but the both offenses stalled a bit. The Warriors came back to score four points, which gave them their biggest lead of the game at nine. The Grizzlies just could not keep up with the Dubs. Curry hit a triple to give them their first double digit lead. The pace was in favor of the Warriors and the Grizzlies could no longer find the basket. The Grizzlies hit two buckets to end the half and the lead was down to 8. Steph Curry finished with 15 points in the first half.

3rd Quarter

Harrison Barnes showed he was okay by starting the half with a bucket. The lead was back to 10, but it was short lived because Randolph hit a floater. The Grizzlies cut it down to six with a Jeff Green jumper, but the Warriors came roaring back with a 4-0 run with buckets from Barnes and Draymond. Thompson was having an off night so far, but Barnes picked up the slack. He hit a triple to give the Warriors a 12 point lead. Klay was doing an excellent job on Mike Conley, which is something crucial for the Dubs. The Grizzlies had plenty of chances to get back into this game, but could not convert. The Warriors weren’t playing great, but just good enough to have the lead. Curry hit his sixth three of the game and the 11th for the Warriors to once again put them up by 12. The Warriors then blew the game open with a 12-2 run and now the lead was up to 17. With one quarter left, the Warriors had a 74-57 advantage.

4th Quarter

The Grizzlies needed a miraculous comeback to win this game and they started with bucket from Jeff Green. However, the Warriors kept their foot on the gas and they raised the lead to 20 with a Thompson triple. The teams were trading baskets and with a 20 point lead, the Warriors were fine with that. This game was getting out of hand. The Grizzlies would make a shot and the Warriors would come right back to score two. Klay Thompson hit a triple and got the foul to complete the four point play. The lead was now up to 24. Thompson found his stroke late, which is a good sign for Game 6. At this point, it was all about running out the clock. The Warriors win.
