After an impressive victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday Night, the Warriors had to quickly get over it. This is the second consecutive weekend of back-to-back games. The Dubs didn’t have to travel far, they are in Los Angeles to take on the Lakers.
The Lakers have been awful this season, but the Warriors can’t take them for granted. In front of their home crowd and with Bryant still putting up points, the Warriors must get out to an early lead.
1st Quarter
Andrew Bogut came out aggressive early and had two quick buckets. The Lakers continue to struggle and the Warriors grabbed an early seven point lead. The Warriors just look like the better and younger team and the Lakers can’t do nothing about it. Bogut came to play, he had 8 points, which matched the entire Laker team. Once again, the Warriors are off to a terrific start and it’s a total team effort. The Warriors were up big, but Kobe Bryant made some difficult shots and cut the lead to 11. Heading into the second, the Warriors were up 34-23. Bogut led all scorers with 11.

2nd Quarter
The reserves got a chance to play to start the second quarter. They were able to maintain the double digit lead early on. Every time the Lakers tried to get a run going, the Warriors always had an answer. Marreese Speights had the shot of the game in the second quarter. He grabbed a rebound and put it back it and was fouled. The Warriors are just too good and they quickly increased the lead to 20 points. Bryant continued to keep the Lakers within 15 points, but the Warriors always responded with a bucket of their own. Kobe had 26 at the half, but the Warriors had 74. Yes, that’s right, the Warriors scored 74 points in the 1st half behind a great team performance. Bogut once again leads the Warriors with 15 points.
