The Los Angeles Clippers will visit the Oracle Arena in their first matchup of the heated rivalry. The Warriors got the power forward, David Lee back. The second quarter proved to be the difference maker in which the Warriors stretched the lead as large as 25 points. In case you missed the game, here is our instant recap:

1st Quarter

Draymond Green remained in the starting lineup and got the first points of the game. The Warriors continued to pass well unselfishly and Green found Harrison Barnes open for a corner three. Five minutes in, Bogut already had five rebounds. There had been so many turnovers on the Warriors side of the ball slowing their offense. Curry decided to get himself in the game in a matter of seconds. He drained a three off a Bogut pass and then quickly stole the inbounds pass to finish with a nice left hand layup. With nearly three minutes remaining in the first, David Lee found himself on the court for the first time in the 2014-15 NBA season. Lee looked rusty on the floor during the fast breaks. The Warriors built a 10 point lead that quickly evaporated after a Reggie Bullock three-pointer. Leandro Barbosa capped the quarter with a right wing three pointer. At the end of the first, Curry led all scorers with seven points. Golden State with a 10 point lead over the Clippers at 30-20.

2nd Quarter

Shaun Livingston started the second quarter with Festus Ezeli Lee, Andre Iguodala, and Barbosa and pushed the lead to 14 on a bank shot off the backboard. Lee received his first points of the season on a 17-foot jumper. At the first timeout, the Warriors are shooting 17-25 which calculated into 68% from the field. Green sank another three from the top of the arc and gave the Warriors a 41-29 lead. Weaving around a pick, Curry got a little space and made a tough jumper. Midway through the second quarter, while the Warriors kept a double digit lead, the Clippers had not committed a foul the entire game. After the timeout, Thompson got a three to fall followed by a midrange pull-up to give him five points. Curry’s alley oop got Bogut a dunk which pushed the lead to 19 and the Warriors’ chemistry looked impeccable. Curry swished home a three over Jordan’s stretched arm to give the Warriors a 22 point lead. All the momentum was with the Warriors as they held a 60-37 lead with under two minutes remaining. This quarter defined the game for the Warriors. They led 65-42 in dominating fashion. Curry led the game with 15 points while Thompson followed with 10 of his own.
