The last time the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks faced off, the Warriors started off really slowly but Steph Curry picked up the pace and dropped 51. The Warriors will look to continue their win streak as they handled the fiesty Milwaukee Bucks.The Mavs will be a bit shorthanded as they will have to try and stop Curry without their back up point guard, Devin Harris. The Warriors hold a 2-0 lead in the season series.
1st Quarter
Warriors got off to a slow start at the beginning of the game and the Mavericks quickly got up 6-0. The Mavs looked like they were in control early on, but the Warriors woke up and started lighting it up from long distance. It took about six minutes, but the Warriors were able to even the score after hitting four shots from long distance. The Dubs took off after that, they went on a 6-0 run and they led the Mavs by six. After a Dallas timeout, the game slowed down a bit and the teams traded baskets, so the lead stayed at six. Both teams cooled off to end the first quarter and the Warriors were able to take a five point lead into the second quarter.

2nd Quarter
The second quarter arrived, which means it was time for the second unit. After the Warriors looked like they were unstoppable offensively, the Mavs got it together and now the lead was down to two. The Warriors got it together and they built up their lead back to seven after a Harrison Barnes triple. The second unit kept increasing their lead and Shaun Livingston was able to be a factor on both ends of the floor. The Warriors were 7 for 10 from three point range, which is why they were up by 10 now. The Mavs came back with a 4-0 run, but Curry responded with a three and Klay had a nice take to the basket to keep the lead at nine.

3rd Quarter
Dirk Nowitzki hit a shot to start the second half, but the Warriors kept rolling. They scored six unanswered points and the Warriors were up by 16 and the Mavs took a timeout. Nowitzki wasn’t going to let this get out of hand, so he knocked down back to back buckets for five points. Barnes and Thompson responded and they combined to score five points as well. It was raining inside Oracle Arena, and after a Green triple, the Warriors were up 18. The Dubs were in control and the Mavs couldn’t get any closer than 16. The teams just traded baskets to end the third period, but the Warriors had all the momentum. Dubs are up 82-64.

4th Quarter
The Mavs were looking to make a fourth quarter comeback, but Steph Curry had other plans. A triple from Curry would protect the Warrior lead and they wouldn’t stop there. The Mavs couldn’t keep up with the Dubs and they kept rolling. Livingston and Ezeli got going and they helped increase the lead to 26. At this point the reserves were in the game, all they needed to do was run out the clock and maintain the lead. The reserves were able to just finish the game off and get the win against the Mavericks. The final score was 104-89
