With the meltdown last night against the lowly King’s, ideas on how to fix, or further drive the team into the ground are sprouting up faster than Al for Garnett trade proposals.  One that resonated with me was from poster ‘Truth’

As a season ticket holder who is trying to figure out how to offload as many of my games as possible, this at least gives us some hope that the W’s will be on an upward trajectory. Currently we are looking at one of our traditional 35 win seasons with little core development, a late first round pick not netting us an impact player, and another year of the same.  Let’s really tank and build around our young core.

Move out Al for expiring contracts, picks, young player, etc. No Gerald
Wallace. If you could score David Lee, that is the lotto. Starting
12/15, do the same thing with Maggette as he is not a fit for where
this team is at.

Don’t extend Jax. He is very valuable expiring pre-2010. If they extend him, you lose the option to move him.

Bring Monta back SLOWLY. Make sure he is 100%. Use his time back to see
if he can play PG for real. He needs to show he can at least be a 6
APG, 2:1 A/TO guy.

Give TONS of time to Biedrins, Wright, AR — and together with Monta
when he is back. Those are your four ‘great hopes’ – so you’d better
accelerate their development. Investing in Kurz and Nelson ain’t
building for the future.

Around trade deadline, you see if you can get someone to really step up
and give you something for Jax for their championship run. If Kidd got
you Devin Harris last spring… gotta think Jax lands you something
pretty strong for a team making their last push.

Get top 7 pick (sub-30 wins is what it takes). Regroup in the summer
with plenty of cap flexibility. Go into next season with great
development on the core, health and a stud from the draft. Have a clean
cap if you want to make some sort of ‘step it way up’ kind of trade.
