David Lee put on another dominate performance against the Sacramento Kings. He scored 23 points and grabbed eleven rebounds on the night. Klay Thompson did his part by adding 18 points and Golden State held off the Kings after a shaky 3rd quarter to secure a 101-92 victory; both teams were playing with injuries.

Stephen Curry had a quiet offensive night with 13 points, but he continued his season long trend of getting his teammates involved; he recorded eight assists.

The Warriors sit at 33-22, and are 1-0 in the Steve Blake era. Their victory did not come without a battle.

Isaiah Thomas had 26 points and seven assists. Travis Outlaw broke out of a scoring slump and erupted for 18 points and five rebounds.

The Kings have the offensive production, but they are in a downward spiral toward their eighth straight losing season.

Sacramento out-rebounded the Warriors, but their 21 turnovers put them in a unsalvageable situation.

Andrew Bogut missed his fifth straight game for Golden State with a persistent left shoulder injury.

The 4th quarter was all about the Warriors. Lee scored on a tough layup, Thompson drilled a 3-pointer and Iguodala knocked down a fadeaway jumper to spark an 8-0.

Golden State took control of the game with an 86-79 lead.

Sacramento tried to mount a comeback, but Iguodala dished to Draymond Green for a dunk and Lee converted around the basket again to increase the Warriors’ lead to ten in the closing stages of the game.

No Andrew Bogut, no problem… The Warriors were sharp with their ball movement and spacing – which ultimately downed the Kings.

The Warriors play tomorrow night against the Rockets. Look for them to produce some consistent basketball in the second half of the season.
