Laughing Bogut and Curry

3. Chemistry

We had doubts that the layoff would have the Warriors rusty when they faced the Jazz on Friday night. They shook those assumptions quickly as they jumped on a quick lead over the Jazz. The Warriors look like they’re on the same page. The timing of the passing was on point and turnovers were dramatically cut down.

This team’s chemistry has been established for a few years now, but with a new head coach and some new faces in the second unit, you expect an adjustment period. However, the Warriors look like a team that picked up where they left off. They have welcomed Shaun Livingston, Brandon Rush, and Leandro Barbosa as if they were here for years. This team truly likes each other, which is important when trying to chase an NBA title. There is no locker room drama you have to be concerned with, the Warriors have been consummate professionals.

The play of the game had to be the beautiful signature Steph hook pass which led to a huge Andrew Bogut slam. The timing was perfect on that play and the Warriors were able to execute because of their chemistry. It all started with Klay Thompson’s down screen, which led to Steph Curry to free up his man just enough to require help from Derrick Favors. This gave Bogut an open lane to the basket, he cut hard and Curry rewarded him with a beautiful left handed hook pass and Bogut put it down with authority.

It’s simply beautiful basketball and with them increasing their chemistry on a daily basis, the rest of the NBA should be concerned.
