NBA: Brooklyn Nets at Golden State Warriors

3. Andre Iguodala

Iguoadala was criticized for his performance in the last game against the San Antonio Spurs. He only scored two points, but what was more alarming is that he only took two shots. A player of his caliber can’t have this type of game, while he’s a known as a defensive player, his athleticism can still make him an effective offensive threat.

Last night, Iguodala did not have the greatest stats, but he was highly active and involved throughout the game. He finished the game with only five points, but he took eight shots and missed all four of his attempts from three point land. He also shot one for three from the free throw line, so he could have realistically finished with double digits if he could have hit a couple more shots.

The key was his aggressiveness. Iguodala came into this game recognizing he has to do more for this team to win. He had a stretch in the second quarter where he hit a tough shot and the foul was called and he also had a coast to coast slam dunk that got the arena and his team off their feet. His explosiveness can turn the game around and he had Oracle Arena jumping off their seats. It’s that type of energy he must bring on a nightly basis.
