The WarriorsWorld team is once again at Air Canada Centre for another running diary of everything All-Star. This time, it’s Sunday night as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green represent the first trio of Golden State selections in 40 years. They also represent their 48-4 Warriors’ squad who are chasing the historic 72-10 Bulls’ record set in the 1995-96 season.

The trio has been incredibly busy this weekend, especially Curry, who seemed to not have a second to himself all weekend long. Being the new face of the league will do that, and also being the best team in the league doesn’t make things any easier. Sunday night will be a showcase of the Warriors’ greatness as well as the entire league’s, so let’s see what fun they can muster in the 6.

Is 182 combined halftime points something you’d be interested in? The All-Star Game is never known for defense, and it seems to be getting worse defensively as the years go on. That’s the way it should be though. Curry led the Warriors with 14 minutes, 9 points and 5 assists. Thompson and Green combined for 5 points on 2-8 shooting, however. Maybe they left it all out on the court Saturday, but not the best of showings for the trio. Will Pop play all three at once at any point?

The 65th All-Star Game is over, with the West taking down the East 196-173 in a game where defense was certainly optional. Curry finished with 26 points in 28 minutes and had the most exciting shot of the game: a 42-footer as time was winding down to put the nail in the coffin.

Thompson left his made buckets on Saturday, ending with 9 points on 3-11 shooting and no real highlights to speak of. Green in his first All-Star appearance showed some nerves, finishing with 4 points in 12 minutes (tied for the lowest on the team). These three will have plenty more chances to prove themselves in this game, but tonight belonged to Kobe Bryant and Russell Westbrook, who stole the show from the Warriors’ usual dominance.

Sure, Curry could’ve dazzled a bit more with some of his patented dribbles and passes, Thompson could’ve splashed more or Green could’ve finished that reverse dunk, but it was still a fun night to watch all three compete on the same floor on such a grand stage. This was a celebration of Bryant and his contributions to the sport in his final appearance in the competition.

Now next season? In his hometown Charlotte? You better believe Curry will be gunning for the MVP.
