Strengths: Versatile player who can fill the scoring column in a # of ways.  Harrington can take smaller defenders into the post and bigger defenders off the dribble.  He's worked hard to become a very good three point shooter.  Harrington's ability to draw away opposing big men creates space for the W's guards to post and slash as well as room for Andris Biedrins to operate.

Weaknesses: Draws the dreaded 'tweener label.  Lacks the size and strength to truly thrive at the 4 spot and doesn't have the floor game of a true 3.  Harrington's defensive focus and effort can fluctuate.  He can have trouble finishing in traffic.  A below average rebounder at PF.

Outlook: After pursuing Al Harrington via the s&t this past summer, Chris Mullin finally got his man in the mid-season deal with Indiana.  Harrington will spend a lot of time at PF in Nelson's system, which means he'll have to pick it up on the glass.  He'll also have the opportunity to play in an uptempo system, which is a welcome change from the more methodical style preferred by ex-coach, Rick Carlisle. Affectionately described by his coach, Don Nelson, as "the biggest bullsh*tter on the team".
