Strengths: Good size and length at the PF position. Makes his free throws and can hit the midrange J. Goes to the glass well.

Weaknesses: A little undersized at C, which is where Coach Nelson often plays him. Not a big a shot blocker.

Outlook: Powell has bounced around as an end of the bench big man. He's done relatively well in limited minutes, but the jury is out on whether he has the skills and the physical tools to carve out a more consistent role.
