GS - They trade two talented perimeter players for a F prospect who could address the team's defensive and rebounding woes in the not-too-distant future. Ellis has a lot of potential and Pietrus has been solid this season, but Mickael could well be a tax casualty and the W's are set at PG with Baron Davis. Thomas lacks ideal size at the PF position, but he's an ultra-athletic F who runs the floor, rebounds and projects well defensively... the perfect guy for an uptempo attack, imo. Plus, he's cheaper for longer than Monta, which means less of a tax hit in the one year where Ellis' extension would overlap Foyle's final year.

Memphis - moves Gasol in a goody bag deal, but they nab their PG of the future in Monta Ellis. They also clear cap space with PJ's expiring deal, get a half season to audition Mickael Pietrus, whom West liked coming out of France, and they add the Knicks' first round pick. All in all, not a bad take for the Grizzlies.

Chicago - they get Pau Gasol. He balances out their offensive attack, gives them a franchise four to pair with Ben Wallace up front. Hinrich/Gordon/Duhon/Thabo/Deng/Nocioni/Gasol/Wallace... the Bulls would be a very scary team.
