Questions Provides by SportsFanMagazine
It's been a long offseason for basketball fans, especially those in California. The past 6 months have felt like an eternity to all those Clippers fans who can't wait for Sam Cassell and Cuttino Mobley to lead the Clips back to the promised land. With the season less than a week away, you'll want to be prepared for when the real games begin. But don't worry: you have questions, and I have the answers. Here are the biggest questions surrounding the NBA's offseason, and how they affect your team. What was the Warriors' biggest offseason move? Drafting Ike Diogu. Diogu's role on the team reminds me of Troy Murphy when he first entered the league back in 2001. When Murph was a rookie, he was stuck in a backup role behind Danny Fortson, a veteran with decent numbers and a hefty new contract. Murphy played well off the bench, and eventually took Fortson's job the following season. Now in 2005, Ike Diogu is stuck in a backup role behind Murphy, a veteran with decent numbers and a hefty new contract. Just as Murphy did in his rookie season, I expect Diogu to play well off the bench this season, and I expect Diogu to eventually wrest Murphy's starting spot away next year. A very close second to the drafting of Diogu is Mike Dunleavy's new moustache. It is his gift to us all. |

Got to the game before the arena started opening doors so my friend and I went to where the production vans were. Spotted Jim Barnett and he gave me props. A few min. later the Lakers arrived in 2 small buses. One bus had all the starters and Luke Walton in it. And guess who came off the bus last? Kobe. Moments later, the W's bus came in but we only spotted a few of them... the rest probably took another entrance. BEST DRESSED Warrior: Derek Fisher BEST DRESSED Laker: Luke Walton |

The second annual Reebok Vegas summer league concluded on Friday night
with the Golden State Warriors defeating the Phoenix Suns by a final
score of 100 to 76. The Warriors rode to victory on the broad shoulders
of rookie forward Ike Diogu. Ike was absolutely dominant from the
opening tip to the end of the game. It was almost as if he was inspired
by someone? |
